ESPN SportsCenter | Ford TV Commercial

I had a blast working as a still photographer on this shoot located up in Big Bear, California.  The shoot was for a cross promotional — two minute TV commercial featuring ESPN SportsCenter and Ford.  We were fortunate to enjoy the first snowfall of the season during filming.  I've included the final commercial down below and some stills for your enjoyment.

RISE Festival

This past weekend I traveled to north east of Las Vegas to attend the second annual RISE Festival.  It was an amazing experience.  Back in 2007 I saw a film about the annual Lantern Festival in Thailand — after watching the film, I knew that it was something that I'd love to do one day.  Here's a brief video and a handful of photos from the festival.  Enjoy!  #RISEfestival

Spirit Sisters

The multi-talented spiritual teacher Patille Kebabjian hired me to envision and create a captivating image / postcard design to promote her new series of three powerful workshops specifically for teenage girls.  The number three became a driving design element in the image design—everything from the three-sided triangle... to three natural elements: earth, water, air as well as the three spirits.  With three as a design element — it becomes a metaphor for the stages of transformation, hence "self-work is a process not an event."

The downward pointing triangle is sometimes referred to as the chalice. It is the symbol of water (as it flows downward), the grace of heaven, and the womb. and it is one of the most ancient symbols of female divinity.

Lenny Kravitz | Los Angeles, CA at the Greek Theater

Back in '91 after I listened to Lenny Kravitz's album, "Mama Said"... I was hooked and have been a loyal fan ever since.  I knew that one day I'd like to see Lenny live in concert.  Tonight—it happened and up-close!  I'm amped that I captured several great shots—all taken with my iPhone 6—I've included them here for your viewing pleasure.  If you get a chance to see him live—do it!  Thank you Lenny for your magic and an incredible show!

JustFab | 2 Videos for In-House Usage

JustFab reached out to me to film and edit a series of interviews of their executive leadership team members for two in-house videos.  I had a blast collaborating with the JustFab team while creating these videos, which were sent out to JustFab's 2,000+ employees worldwide.  Here are some stills from the videos.

de Grisogono & March To The Top Fundraiser Video

The wonderful people at de Grisogono and the March To The Top Foundation hired us to film and edit their high-profile fundraiser in Beverly Hills.  It was an absolute joy to be a part of this event, which is committed to fundraising for the New Hope Orphanage School and Clinic for Children with HIV/AIDS in Kenya.

Oh No Jojo | Author Portrait

Children's book author Gigi needed a portrait for her new book, "Oh No Jojo" published by Balboa Press, A division of Hay House.  I pitched the idea of her interacting with the star of her book and sketched a few ideas.  The image featured below was the winning concept.  You can purchase the book online here: amazon.com

Transformation Mentor, Mrs. Jessica Vignolle contacted me to shoot a series of lifestyle images to be used as banners for her new website.  You can visit her site here: http://jessicavignolle.com/

Santa Fe | Moto Road Trip

In eight hours I will be heading eastbound on my motorcycle destined for Santa Fe, NM.  My dear friend Janine will be joining me on her BMW R 700 GS.  Our plan is to arrive in Santa Fe on Tuesday afternoon and to stay for a couple of days.  We intend to back in LA next weekend.

I'll be updating my blog daily outlining the highlights of our trip.  This is my first multi-day, multi-state trip.  I'm super excited!  Please feel free to leave comments.

The trip was cancelled on Monday due to engine failure.  This is absolutely ok.  The new parts (stator and rectifier) arrived yesterday (Friday) and the motorcycle will be repaired soon.

It's not about the destination, it's about the journey.  It's about how kind we are with ourselves when things don't go as planned.  I'll do the trip another time and I'll blog about it as well.  I'm so grateful that the engine issues occurred less than an hour away from home.  It's been an amazing week for me even though I wasn't in Santa Fe.  Here's a toast to life and equanimity!
